Welcome to The Ink and Lantern

Welcome to The Ink and Lantern, the official community forum for Tales of Khassid.

This is where the world opens up for conversation.

The main website is where Khassid is organized and presented. The blog is where I talk about its creation, development, and the work behind it. The forum is where you get to respond, ask questions, share ideas, point out problems, and become part of the discussion.

You do not need to know everything about Khassid before posting here.

Honestly, that would be a lot to ask.

You may be a Dungeon Master looking for campaign material, a player building a character, a writer interested in worldbuilding, a fantasy reader who enjoys lore, or someone who simply stumbled across the setting and wants to know more. All of you are welcome.

The forums cover several parts of the setting and the game built around it. You can discuss gods and religions, peoples and cultures, realms and regions, history, characters, rules, homebrew ideas, playtesting, and published material. You can also report mistakes, ask for clarification, and offer feedback.

Some sections may be quiet at first.

Khassid has been developing for a long time, but this community is new. It will take time for conversations to grow, and that is perfectly fine. Every forum begins with someone making the first post.

Do not be afraid to be that person.

Ask the question you think might be obvious. Share the character idea you have only half-finished. Tell me what confused you, what caught your attention, or what you would like to see explored next. Thoughtful disagreement is welcome. Honest criticism is useful. Curiosity is encouraged.

The only thing I ask is that everyone treat one another with respect. Please read the Forum Rules before participating and remember that there is a person on the other side of every post.

Khassid began with questions, and it has grown by following where those questions led.

I hope The Ink and Lantern becomes a place where we can keep asking them together.

Welcome in.

The lantern is lit.
